This was our second time on the Road to Hana, and Shaka’s audio tour did not disappoint. With GPS enabled stops and explanations (there is no cellular on most of the Road), this app not only lead us to some great sights, it also kept us entertained with music and stories. My wife, 9 year old daughter, and I all were super happy with this purchase and won’t hesitate before buying one of their future other tours in the future!

We were heading to the big island of Hawaii for our spring break, worried about what we might be able to see and do, and how to do it all. I found this app linked from someone in a blog and found the 5 tour package for the big island. After sampling and reading about it, I purchased the bundle (amazing price for all five!), and we spent some time reviewing the tours before heading over. There was a ton of information even without being on the tour, and we even identified our top priorities for our trip. Once there, starting the tour, we found it incredibly useful, fun, fact-filled, and well organized. We did all five tours in their entirety, aside from a few overlapping points, and used discretion on some points based on time and party interest. The narrator was funny and made fact presentations fun and interesting. Highly recommend if you’re going to one of their destinations!
Wonderful adjunct to any planning (or lack of planning) you may have done for a trip to Moab. We saw the Arches and Canyonland and used Shaka for both. Great listening. Program did stop a couple of times in Canyonland (no service whatsoever) but able to pick right back up where we left off when restarted. Strongly recommend this app
I took the tour in Yosemite yesterday. We had a delightful time. The information provided was entertaining and enhanced our drive through Yosemite. Yosemite is one of my favorite spots and I learned new things that enhanced my experience overall. I would recommend this to anyone.
I could not recommend this app more to you, if you are going to drive the Road to Hana for your first time! It was fantastic. If you can listen on your rental car radio, it’s even better. It senses your location by GPS, and the turn by turn guide is amazing and makes your trip almost as special as the scenery. It’s dead on as far as your current location, giving you ample time to anticipate where you may want to stop. It gives you great tips, advice on what to do or skip, and helps you estimate the timing of your travel for the whole day. The music and history is not to be missed (even by the discerning curmudgeon like me). Get this and your won’t be disappointed (or lost).
