Great app but it would not link to my car stereo. My rental was a 2020 Ford Mustang GT with built in Android app.

Really fun tour, definitely recommend! The road next to the YMCA is gated and locked. Otherwise, all of the directions were good and interesting history and facts.

Arrived on Oahu in January 2021 during COVID restrictions. I always take in-person walking tours wherever I travel in the world. I’ve taken guided kayak tours of the canals of Venice. Walked with an historian on the battlefields of Gettysburg. But there were no in-person tours available in Oahu because of the pandemic. I reluctantly purchased the Shaka app. I find most of these canned tours lightweight, hard to follow, corny and a waste of time. Man was I wrong—at least about Shaka Guides. What a great resource. What a great time. We took great walking tours in Waikiki and the historic district. And amazing driving tours of the North Shore and a rainforest. The turn-by-turn GPS directions were spot on. Especially loved the Hawaiian music played between the sights. Buy this app —you’ll be very appy. *happy.
