Hanauma Bay
Not only is Hanauma Bay one of Oahu’s top snorkel spots — it’s one of the island’s most popular attractions. Because of it's popularity, Hanauama Bay has implemented a reservation system and only allows 1,000 visitors daily.
Home to over 450 varieties of marine life, Hanauma Bay is great for snorkelers of all skill levels. There are lifeguards on duty and you can rent snorkel gear right on the beach.
While you’re there, look out for some animals you can only find in Hawaii like the state fish, Humuhumunukunukuapua’a. Just remember to keep a safe distance and please NEVER touch any animals. Many of Hawaii's marine species - such as sea turtles and monk seals - are protected and you will get a fine if you get too close.
