Constructed in 1798 and designed by noted Boston architect Charles Bulfinch, the Massachusetts State House is actually the "new" state house. Enter the building through the General Hooker Entrance, which is just to the right of the front of the state house. Guided tours are available 10am-3:30pm, but advance registration is required.
