About The Tour

Tucked away in the northwest corner of California is Redwood National and State Parks – home to the world’s tallest trees. In this mild and misty climate, coast redwoods or Sequoia sempervirens can grow to dizzying heights of over 300 feet tall. Talk about giants! They’re also some of the oldest living things on earth. The average redwood lives into the hundreds, and some are still going strong after two thousand years. On Shaka Guide's Redwood National and State Parks Tour, you'll walk through ancient groves and gaze up at these magnificent forest sentinels. But there’s more to these parks than big trees. Stunning coastal beaches, beautiful rivers, a primeval fern-draped canyon, and grassy meadows frequented by majestic Roosevelt elk all make Redwood National and State Parks an unforgettable experience.

Here are just a few of the fun things you can do on the tour!

• Wander through the majestic Stout Grove, home to some of the tallest and most awe-inspiring redwoods, creating a serene and enchanting forest experience.

• Discover the hidden giants in the Grove of the Titans, where some of the largest and most ancient redwoods reside in a lush, protected environment.

• Embark on the scenic Howland Hill Drive, a narrow dirt road that winds through a dense redwood forest, offering an immersive and picturesque journey.

• Yurok Loop Trail: Enjoy the tranquil beauty of the Yurok Loop Trail, a peaceful hike that meanders through old-growth redwoods and offers scenic views of the surrounding wilderness.

• Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway: Drive along the Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway to access some of the most impressive groves of ancient redwoods in the parks.

We used the Shaka app’s road to Hana tour and totally loved it! The narrator is entertaining and funny, we all laughed multiple times because of his humor. The where also multiple “Oh wow’s” from the historical stories he told. We will definitely use this app again!!

Omg! What a wonderful app this is! We were vacationing in Oahu, Hawaii and wanted to see the North Shore. We had a car but we needed a tour guide! Well, Shaka Guide App was the solution! We had a wonderful 6 hour ride around the island. The app told us a lot about the History of Hawaii, its crops, its culture, and the Hawaiian ways! Aloha! Choose Shaka Guide and you won’t regret it!
