About

Muir Rock is a little slice of heaven on the banks of the Kings River in Cedar Grove. It's a flat slab of rock where the naturalist loved to hang out, and chat with passerby about his love for the area. It rest along a part of the river that is a popular swimming spot, but anyone who chooses to swim must always exercise extreme cauthion. Resting on the rock in the sun or walking along the edge of the river here is a wonderful way to enjoy this part of the park. It's located at the end of Highway 180 in Cedar Grove at on the right side of the loop.
