Water Holes consists of several beautiful slot canyons that cut through vibrant reddish-pink Navajo sandstone. It is only a few miles from Page and various narrow passageways run both west and east of Highway 89. All of Water Hole Canyon lies on Navajo land. Therefore, the upper part of East Waterholes is accessible by guided tours only. The lower part of East Waterhole requires a backcountry permit to access this area from Navajo Nation. The trailhead is located just off Highway 89 at milepost 542. Waterhole Canyon Experince offers three different tours including a hiking tour, a photography tour, and a specialty tour. The minimum age is 8, and prices start at $81 per-person.
