About The Tour

In Part Two of Shaka Guide’s Boston Freedom Trail Tour, you’ll visit the final two stops of the Freedom Trail, both in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston. These are arguably two of the most important and exciting stops along the Freedom Trail – Bunker Hill and the USS Constitution ship. No Freedom Trail tour would be complete without visiting these two sites.

Here are just a few of the fun things you can do on the tour!

• Climb Bunker Hill Monument for panoramic views and Revolutionary War history.
• Tour the USS Constitution, America’s oldest commissioned warship still afloat.
• Visit USS Cassin at Charlestown Navy Yard to explore a historic destroyer.
• Stop by Bunker Hill Museum to learn about the famous battle’s legacy.
• Explore USS Constitution Museum for interactive exhibits on naval history.

We have used the the Shaka Guide at four national parks and each time the guide helped illuminate and navigate each park making the day we spent in the parks some of our best vacation days ever. It can be hard to plan a trip without a lot of research and local expert knowledge but with the Shaka guide you don’t need either. The music is great too. Not too much, not too little of either the guide talking or the music playing.

Can you visit the Bunker Hill Monument anytime?

You can walk the Freedom Trail anytime, but the Bunker Hill Monument is only open at certain times. Even if closed, you can still view it from outside.

How long does it take to walk the entire Boston Freedom Trail?

You can walk the full Freedom Trail in one day. Part One takes about three hours, and Part Two takes around two, depending on your pace and stops.

Do you need a charged phone for the Boston Freedom Trail tour?

Yes! Bring a fully charged phone and a backup battery since this walking tour can drain battery power, and you won’t have access to a car charger.

What is an Audio Tour Guide?

Think of us as your personal tour guide in an app. Our tours provide everything a guided tour does, but with the freedom to explore on your terms. Here’s how it works:

  • GPS triggers audio narration to play automatically as you drive or walk.
  • Listen to stories, get local insights, visit must-see stops and get turn-by-turn navigation.
