This was recommended to me by a patient before I went to Yellowstone and it was absolutely amazing! It was like my own personal tour guide that went where I wanted to go and let me explore where and for as long as I wanted, then I Read more hoped back into the car and off I went again. I am now using it for Badlands Nation Park and Black Hills Forest and Mount Rushmore and it is once again amazing. It uses GPS to know where you’re located and then tells you about the area you’re in, with optional extended information. It’s respectful of the Native American history with out being preachy or taking sides. The geology of the sites is also discussed with why the land or animals etc have formed or developed the way they have. Minutes after my daughter wondered why amid all the craggy rocks of the badlands there would be this large smooth grassy area the guide discusses it. So far the prices were extremely reasonable and the narrators haven’t had an annoying voice. We will absolutely use this on any vacation we take that they have an option for especially our year National Park trips.

We downloaded this specifically for the Road to Hana but were pleasantly surprised to use it for both sunrise at Haleakalā and exploring West Maui! Not having to keep track of mile markers and the tips made the trip much more relaxing and enjoyable. The tour effectively walked us through the trip to Hana highlighting stops along the way and providing clear instructions on how to be safe and where to park and enough information to choose which activities to participate in whic Read more h activities to choose to not participate in. The narration and narrator were engaging. We appreciated the historical stories on the return trip.

We found these when touring Hawaii several years ago. Was excited to find them for Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. Great directions, informative background information, some corny humor and quiet driving music. Will definit Read more ely be adding to our collection on future trips!

I am a big fan of Shaka but this tour was not your best. The music was repetitive and pounding. The host sounded like he wanted you to skip a lot of the overlooks. His long silences may it seem like there nothing interesting or hi Read more storic about driving on the side of a great mountain. Guidance for animal viewing paid off very well and we saw many moose, elk, big horn sheep and many species of birds.

This is a must do! It made all the difference for our trip. We learned a great deal, we were alerted about the best things to see and do, and the GPS tracking was perfect. Without this tour, we would have missed the Jedediah Smith State Park and Stout Grove, which was our favorite section of the parks. Very well done, Shaka Guides.
